800: DiGuiseppeHeritage Forums - January 2002 |

My grandfather was born in Bisenti, Abruzo, Italy. His name was Domenico DiGuiseppe. He was a mysterious man; he left my grandmother in Hershey, PA just two weeks after my mother was born, and just two years after my Aunt was born. He supposedly went to the Philadelphia or Kennett Square, PA area. Then, relatives heard years later, he returned to Italy. He wrote to my mother when she was 38 yrs old, but my grandmother had since remarried, and forbid my Mom to return his letter. He did not support my mom and her sister and mother after he left, thus the bitterness. Any information on the DiGuiseppe family from Bisenti would be great. We only saw his picture about 5 years ago- their wedding picture was found in someone's attic. Thanks for any info you can provide. PS- He had a brother named "Aubricio", whom lived in Phila in 1913.
