I've been to Pizzoferato 3 times but never met any Casciatos - only people from my grandmother's family. There are lots of Casciatos still there. Most of the folks who left the village did end up in Pittsburgh. My grandmother was in Pittsburgh briefly staying with an aunt. There is a big photo of Pittsburgh in one of the pizza parlors. I lived for a few months in Pittsburgh a few years ago and tried to meet some Casciato's there - I noticed how many there were in the phone book. I think I just got the wrong people because they said they weren't interested in meeting me. There are a lot of Casciato's out here in Portland. I hope you get some responses.
