This pseudo-school is just about the worst experience I've ever had in my entire life, and there have been some bad ones that I am just not gonna share with a bunch of strangers. Avoid NUCT at all costs. First of all the people who go there aren't able to do anything because the place isn't accredited and none of the experience is transferrable to an actual degree. It’s pure vocational and they accept everyone who applies and can pay, consequently most of the folks entitled to learn the craft of filmmaking have no business being in a film school... Since there aren’t limits of age, you can find pathetic cheerleaders, forty years bullocks, married workers, nerds, old divorced women, shy people, neo-graduates... It seems rather a disgusting bestiary than a film school! For a good joke attend the screenings... I swear, you'll never see so many horrible shorts!. Facilities are inadequate, outdated, and it is all so barely organized that it's impossible to get a straight answer out of anyone or find someone who knows what's going wrong. The atmosphere is fake and uncomfortable. Their propaganda is a rip off, all smoke and mirrors to suck you into paying the prohibitive (at least for middle-class Italians) tuition. You might notice on their website how they advertise even a ridiculous “representation” in Beverly Hills, California... Instructors are old, unenthusiastic, mostly out of the industry. But above all, there's no real sense of community, unless you count those who smoke on the sidewalk, infact most students are just waiting for class to be done so they can smoke their next cigarette. It is a hell that I would not wish upon my worst enemy. Please do not ever consider to enroll this school. It’s a shame. Follow Ups:
