San Vito is where the Verì name originates. There are currently 78 numbers for various Verì families in the telephone book. The person who would be able to do geneological research for you from the church baptisty records is Professor Antonio Iarlori, 66038 San Vito Chietino (CH) - Via Dante Alighieri, 12 Telephone 01139-0872-618725. He speaks a little English, but he can trace your ancestors back to the 14th century. He has been archiving the chronological baptismal entries in alphabetical form for close to 30 years. If you have someone who speaks Italian to request the information that would be good. Also, he may request a fee which you should discuss up front.
