I would asume that somewhere down the line there would be a root connection for all the Jaconelli/Iaconelli members. I was in San Biagio in 1989 and there were 11 families of Jaconellis, none related to our branch of the family. Does anyone know the derivation of the name? I have been told that is means Little James or son of James., equivalent to McShane in Irish or Jamieson in Scots.
