My great grandfather's father's name was also Antonio Iaconelli. If I remember correctly, he was born in the 1820s. Is it possible that your grandad was this Antonio's grandson? I have been told that in Italy at that time they used to name their first borns after the childrens grandparents (as some kind of "rule" - they'd always do that). Unfortunately, due to missing records, I don't know yet the names of any other children of "my" Antonio Iaconelli than Nicolina b.1864 and Biagio b.1875. Surely there must have been more children in the family. Perhaps Domenico was one of them? You don't happen to know the names of Domenico Iaconelli's parents?
