My father, Pietro Covella, was born in Lama dei Peligni in 1913, and his sister, Arcangela, was born in Lama dei Peligni in 1908. Arcangela died in 1975 and is buried in the local cemetary. Nicola is buried in Millville, New Jersey and Pietro is buried in Vineland, New Jersey. I visited Lama dei Peligni three times in the late 1990s. Arcangela has several decendents in the town. Her husband's name was Antonio DiRito and he died in 1995. I was unable to find any Covellas left in the town. It is my understanding that Nicola and Pietro were only sons.
