My grandparents were Carmen Mastrostefano. He married a woman named Josephine who had 2 daughters from a previous marriage. Armenia, and Rose. The immigrated to America with Rose leaving Armenia with Josephines family in Abruzzi. Their name was changed at Ellis Island in the 1920's to Mastrey. My grandparents had 8 children, today, all deceased except for the eldest son, Joe Mastrey now in his 80's residing somewhere in Pennsyvania. My cousins live mostly in Youngstown Ohio, or Erie Pennsylvania. Our extended family is a mystery to most of us. We too would like to find out more and to meet some of the family in Abruzzi someday. I have 4 sisters, all residing in Minneapolis, Minnesota. I am a single mother of an 8 year old daughter, and am a professional singer. Lots of music in the family.
