126: Ciofani/Angeloni Heritage Forums - June 2002

I am now getting old and wish to tell my sons the historys or storys of my 2 family names (1) Ciofani, (2) Angeloni. My great grandfather was Carmon Ciofani, Grandmother Mary Ciofani, who married John Angeloni, and gave birth to my mother Adwa Angeloni. Mary had 2 sisters and one brother, Rose Ciofani, Aunt Ci, and Anthony Ciofani My God Father. As far as I know they were all from Abruzzi and came here during world war 2. The had planned to return like so many others after the war to a house the were having built for them. They worked very hard in the factorys at Scollvile in Waterbury Conn. USA, and they lived there all there lives John died, Then my mother Adwa, then Aunt CI, then Aunt Rose, and finally, Anthony Ciofani my Uncle and Godfather. He has a son in Conn. allso named Anthony Ciofani who was a policeman, but has long since retired. I still know so little about my family because my mother died of T.B. when I was 5 years old. I am 58 now and have a fine wife and 2 grown sons. I know my Mother was named after a war in a sad place for my great grandfather Angeloni, The battle took place in or on "Adwa".
