Hello, I am posting to see if there is anyone out there with the name STINZIANI. Though my name is Stanziano, I recently discovered through genealogical research that my family name was changed from Stinziani to Stanziano between the time of my grandparents' arrival in America and the births of my father and his siblings. My grandfather was Gabriele Stinziani, born in Morrone del Sannio in the province of Campobasso in Molise, Italy. He came to Jersey City, NJ in 1906. His father was Leonardo (or Lonardo) Pietro Stinziani (born in 1852) and his father was Giuseppe Stinziani (1832-1875). Documents in this country have the name as Stinziano and then Stanziano which is also a very common name in the towns of Campobasso, especially Castellino del Biferno which is next to Morrone del Sannio. I have been communicating with people named Stanziano for some time, and we haven't given up hope that the names have the same origin, but I decided now to search for people named Stinziani hoping to possibly find a link or some interesting information.
