My grandmother, Maria BUTTINO Fusco was born in Compochairo. She and her parents, Michael and Rose Buttino came to the US in 1886 and settled in the Owego/Endicott NY area. When Michael died, Rose returned to Compochairo and married a DellaPenta. Rose's youngest daughter Maria Johanna married Nicolo BUCCI and stayed in Italy all her life. I have a photo of Maria Johanna and Nicolo possibly taken on their wedding day. There were some Bucci families that settled in Susquehanna Pa and Schenectady NY. There is a Joe Bucci from Susquehanna Pa who I have communicated with in the past on this website trying to connect our families. One of my mother's sisters married an Iannone. His name was Nazareth (Ray) Iannone. The story I was told, was that his family owned lots of land in Italy and were prominent in their town. Please write to me direct if you like. Follow Ups:
