I visited Guardiagrele and Gessopalena. These are the towns where my DiCrescenzo ancestors lived. I also visited Lanciano. I think Abruzzo is very beautiful. I left part of my heart there. I have found information on the internet about Guardiagrele and Gessopalena, but I can find only a little information about Gissi, which is the town where my grandmother was born. I wrote to the tourist office in Gissi, requesting information, but I never received a reply. My 4th great grandfather, Domenicantonio Ditieri was the mayor of Gissi in 1811 and 1812. So I wanted to have some information about the history of the town and some pictures. Perhaps I will be able to return to Italy and go there myself. I hope I have answered your question.
