We have traveled twice to Guardia dei Lombardi in the past couple years and dug around in family records at home, Ellis Island records on the web, and the original baptismal records in Chiesa Madre in Guardia dei Lombardi (sometimes called just Guardia Lombardi). The family members we are tracking are: Guiseppe Celetti (b. in early 1870s) and his wife, Maria Antonia Cicchillo, (they married in early 1890s) and one of their sons, Gaetano Celetti, who was baptized in Guardia Lombardi in 1903. Guiseppe and Maria brought their family (five children) to America in several trips, the last one in 1912. Their sixth child was born in the U.S. With bad handwriting in various records and the tendency for typographical errors by us, I'm being careful to spell all the names correctly above -- at least they are right as of the time of their emmigration to the U.S. We know they changed later (it appears they changed several times!), hence us now being the Gillette family. We understand there were/are two Celetti families in Guardia Lombardi.
