To Jane Garofano Curran who responded to "Possible Relatives in Cervinara" on April 22, 2003: I found it interesting that the name you used for your relatives was our family name, at least until my Uncle Frank advised his brothers that the name should be Muscatell instead of Muscatello, thus my name has been Muscatell since the 7th or 8th grade. I did know that I was baptized as Muscatello. When my father died in 1979 I asked my mother for his birth certificate and it was there that I discovered the spelling as "Muscatiello". Jane, you mention Vermont. All the Muscatello's I knew were in the Troy, Albany, N.Y. area (my former abode since birth). In that area you will find Muscatello's, Moscatello's, Muscatiello's. I knew some of these people in my earlier days back in N.Y.and although we were not related they or their parents came from that same general area in Campagnia Regione. One family was a distant cousin of ours.
