My mother has many memories about her childhood in Cervinara and the many friends and relatives that came over to Canada in the subsequent years and those that remained behinmd or immigrated elsewhere ..she still remmebers names,places & streets .Toronto has huge Cervinara population at leats 2000( born in cervi) that doesnt include their sons or daughters,or grandkids..The many Cervis( thats what i call us) still speak in our own dialect that is a very different slang comparedto the real italian ..its almost like hillbilly talk..
