Denise, the LDS films are laden with your relatives and so are my family papers. I live in upstate NY and my greatgrandmother Arcangela Papa and her only living son Giuseppe Iannece (w/his wife and 3 children) came to the US (Brooklyn, NY) in 1921. I've gone through the records I have (not a complete gathering) and I have these names as witness to Arcangela Papa and Giuseppe Iannece's wedding (1878) was a Cataldo and the official was Michele Cozzi. The brides parents were Rosario Papa and Maria Gaetana Berardinelli. The grooms parents were Vincenzo Iannece and Maria Raimondo. On birth records from 1881 to 1891, I have officials Luca Boffa, Liberato Cozzi and Raffaele Cozzi. Witnesses for the deaths included Bennedetto Raimondo, Vincenzo Marino, and Donato Gasparro. I have also been told that we had Papa relatives in NJ who my mother remembers visiting when she was a girl. One uncle in particular was an older man (immigrant) with six children who dicided to become a doctor. It took him 8 years but he did it! Do you know anything of him? When you get around to viewing the films (believe me it's an all day affair), let me know of other connections you may find so we can both benefit from this labor of love!
