Your trip to Cervinara certainly sounded great! Where did you stay overnite on
your return trips to the town?
When I was there in 1951 I had flown up to Naples via the U.S. Navy from
French Morocco in Oct. and the town seemed very "poor". This was only 5 or 6 yrs after WWII of course. We were in Naples for just an afternoon in Nov.
1997 (my wife and I) and the guide was reluctant to even let us leave the bus
as we were to stay in Sorrento (classic tour!) After reading your message,
we'd love to return and stay in Naples and drive up to Cervinara.
If you go to Forum 1 where your message appears a fellow by the name of Gregory
Manship replied to my first message and he said his grandfather came from
Cervinara and his name was "Cioffi". Just thought I'd pass that on. Ralph Muscatell
