Posted by dwc1153- AT -   --  NAME: Donna Campbell on 02/16/03 at 1:09 PM Subject:   MASTROVITO in Casacalenda/Sant'Elia I am researching my MASTROVITO family from Casacalenda. I have searched every FHL film from Casacalenda and it looks like the family came from Sant'Elia to Casacalenda in the late 1700s-early 1800s. Does anyone have more information about this surname? The earliest I have been able to discover is Desiderio Mastrovito (son of Nicola Mastrovito and Petronilla Cicoria) who was born abt. 1772 in Sant'Elia. He married Angelantonia Quici (who was born abt.1803 in Casacalenda), before 1821. Do you have any recommendations on how to pursue this research any further back?
