They had two sons in Casacalenda but died due to an epedemic as toddlers. I am trying to find out how far Casacalenda's records go back. I was there with my son 5 yrs ago for just a few hrs. I'd like to hopefully go back again and look up some records. Do you know how to contact anyone in a Records area. I found no one that spoke english when we were there. My wonderful son took me on a Tour of Italy and we went to where his Grandparents came from, but only there for 3 hrs. No enough time to get any info. they nap in the afternoon so post office etc was closed. My cousin who is from the same area said they all went by nick names, cuz I asked if anyone knew the Battista's or where they lived. I did find the old part, where the convent was turned into a shirt factory. Good luck on getting info. If you know how records are or were kept I would really like to find out.Hope to hear from you......Jo Follow Ups:
