I just got back from Petrella Tifernina. I took my father who is almost 82. He lives in Pittsburgh, PA. I just want to wish you well on the trip. Hopefully you speak Italian to get by easier. The dialects range quite a bit. It is worth the trip just to see where your great grandparents came from and my grandparents and aunt. The drive up to the village is impressive to me. Quite small and unique. Not to be morbid, but I would definitely go to the cemetary and I do recall seeing the name there. Of course, it may be a popular name. We also went to the Consume and they showed us the records of my aunts birth certificate from 1914. There hospitality was quite nice and much different than our American standards. I wish you a successful journey. Follow Ups:
