Antonina Suropato was my grandmother's sister. My grandmother grew up in Manlius NY with five additional siblings. Her sister Antonina, the eldest, remained in San Martino with a brother and Antonia's grandparents when their mother came to the states. Eventually she married Antonio Caterino (later Catterino) and they did live in Manlius for several years before returning to San Martino. They have one daughter - Teresa Catterino D'Accardio. Teresa lives in Palermo,a widow, with two grown sons. One is a doctor - Tony, the other an engineer - Mimmo. You can actually see photos of the doctor on the internet if you oa seach by Antonio D'Accardio. They maintain a home in San Martino where I have stayed. I correspond with them often and visit Palermo last fall. Where do you love? I am in West Hartford, CT.
