08/22/03 at 8:32 AM Growing up we lived in Cleveland, then Geauga County in NE Ohio. I'm sure my father's god-father was a Farinacci, but I'm not sure of his name. I know that my grandparents (Michele D'Amico , Francesca Luciano, both from Gildone) were good friends with some Farinaccis who lived in that part of Ohio.I've tried to do some research through Ellis Island records and found some info about my grandmother's arrival, but not sure about my grandfather's yet. It seems that the years and passing of the main characters has dimmed the light. I'd like to dig a bit deeper and eventually go to Gildone to try and put more pieces together. It'll be a good post-retirement adventure in a couple of years.Other responses on this web site provide excellent advice and guidance regarding information sources and research tools.Pace e bene Follow Ups:
