Posted by mrose- AT - capecod  --  NAME: MarilynRose Guarino on 01/30/03 at 5:56 PM Subject:   Guarino in Santa Croce di Magliano I am looking for information regarding my grandparents and great grandparents who were both born in Santa Croce di Magliano. My grandfather was Guiseppe Antonio Guarino b. 03/01/1871. His parents were Francesco and Filomena (Minotti) Guarino. My grandmother was Maria Vincenza (Colombo) Guarino b. 09/08/1881. Her parents were Gaetano and Carolina (Settimio) Colombo. They both emirated to the United States. Giuseppe arrived at Ellis Island on 08/12/1903 on The Sicilian Prince out of Naples. Maria arrived at Ellis Island on 07/03/1905 on The Romanic out of Naples, Ittaly. She was accompanied by their son Francesco Guarino, b. 04/21/1902 in Santa Croce. The only other information I have found was that Maria was accompanied on the ship to the US by Giuseppe or her cousin Flaviano Di Falco, also of Sant Croce. If you have any information regarding any of the above people, it would help me greatly to reconstruct a genealogy for my family. And find new releatives, as well!
