Antonio, Carmella and son Girolomo Gentile. From where? Heritage Forums: Province of Matera

Posted by George Woodworth on December 03, 2005 at 17:57:59: I am looking for my roots: My Great Grandfather and Great Grandmother Antonio and Carmella Gentile and my Grandfather Girolomo Gentile were born in Italy, but I don't know where. My Great Grandfather Antonio Gentile came to England from Italy about 1888, I don't know if he ever returned to Italy, but he died in Oswestry England in 1917 aged 79. He was born around 1838. My Great Grandmother Carmella Gentile came to England from Italy in 1919 and died in Oswestry England in 1923 aged 82. She was born around 1841. My Grandfather Girolomo Gentile came to England about 1888. He lived in Dewsbury, Chester, Shrewsbury and Oswestry and died in Chester in 1929. He was born around 1870. They may have come from outside Naples, but I am not sure. If anyone has any information I would be grateful. George Woodworth Antonio, Carmella and son Girolomo Gentile.
