Posted by Donna on 09/01/03 at 5:34 PM Subject:   Surnames Porto and Gidero Searching for family names. (Gaspar)Porto was in Cosenza, Calabria. (Maryanna) Gidero was in Regio Calabria. I do not have a town for Gidero. Maryanna's parents were Carmella Pittzarella and Joseph Gidero. Both were born in Italy in 1882 I believe the name Porto was in one of three towns. Filigaturo, San Pietro in Amantea or San Pietro in Guarano. Any information would be so appreciated.
