Posted by G. Joseph Lamanna on 05/26/03 at 8:18 PM Subject:   Perrina Family Origin I would be very grateful for any information dealing with the origins of the Perrina family. My Great-Grandfather's name was Antonio Perrina who had 7 children. My Grand-Father Raimondo Perrina who recently passed away was married to a Vincenza Silano who had 2 daughters Angela and Giuseppina. Their origin is in Avellino in the town of Villanuova Del Battiste. I had an uncle who went to New York in 1903 via Ellis Island Antonio Perrina and then married Teresa Colantuono. Fires and earthquakes and war have apparently destroyed many records pertaining to the Perrinas. Even family living in Italy today have a difficult time of going back very far. Perhaps someone out there has a good oral history record of the Perrina Family. If so, please e-mail this information as I would be thankful if that someone would share it with me.
