Family came through Ellis Island, many settled in Retsof, NY, near Rochester. Carmine Aurigemma born in 1861 came around 1899.Wife Antonia Carulli came with my grandfather, Vincenzo in 1908 who later married Anna Vitale, daughter of Antonio Vitale and Carmella Gimelli. Planning a family trip to Monteforte May 2005. Any info you have would be appreciated especially if you have been to the area.
