Posted by margaret joy bailey on November 06, 2005 at 04:31:19: I have been using the microfiche@ the Family History Center;my gr'father was most likely taken in(but not adopted)by Luigi DiCaprio& his wife because their son was born 1/10/1876,and died;my Gr'father was found abandoned at S.Eligio in capua,1/4/1876.Maria maddalena diCaprio must have been his "wet nurse". I am still trying to see if their biological son,Giovanni,died in infancy,or if she nursed both babies(unlikely?!).I have the microfilm as long as I want. I am going to check on his military records,but that might be costly?have you ever sent for info from Italy?how much did they charge? thanks!
