Posted by Yvonne on May 16, 2006 at 01:06:47: I am desperate to find out where my Italian Great Grandfather Vincenzo Battista's family came from. He came to England in 1874 with his elder brother Giovanni and in 1890's was joined by his younger brother Antonio and his wife Cristina nee D'Andrea. My only clue is that on the 1901 census Giovanni's place of birth is given as Cassino. I believe they sailed from Naples. I would be grateful for any help.
