Posted by Joseph Cavano on May 28, 2006 at 18:28:54: Can anybody help me with information about my beloved grandfather Francesco Caivano born in Pontelatone(Formicola) in about 1889.I have found out quite a bit and have visited relatives in Formicola but want very much to learn more .His father was Guiseppe who was born about 1831and married a Rosa Simone.He had a brother ,Luigi and a sister Pasqualina. I am especially interested in where the Caivano's came from before entering Pontelatone .I have also wondered what the meaning of Caivano is. I know it is a fairly large town 9 miles from Naples. Like all of you ,I am intensely anxious to learn all that I can and hope there is somebody out there with information to help.Continued good fortune to all those who like myself have entered this wonderful search to find our roots.
