Posted by Mike Glasser on August 06, 2006 at 05:45:38: Help!! I'm looking for information on my great grandfather, John Ward, who was born in 1895 and immigrated to Schenectady, NY in 1910. John came over with his father, James and mother Agnes Maggio, and possibly an uncle who settled in California. His name was orginally Guarda or Juarda but I'm not sure of the spelling and they changed their name to Ward when they arrived in the US. John left behind a brother and sister in Alvignano but I'm not sure of their names. If anyone has any info, please e-mail me at mglasser1@nycap.rr.com Hope to hear from you soon!!
