Posted by Stephen DiRose on June 25, 2005 at 05:34:44: Hi, I'm researching my Father's family tree. His biological father was Edward DiRose. We have reason to believe that he had an alternate last name of Calabritto. I believe that DiRose has been Americanized from DeRosa and Edward from Eduardo. So his name could have been Eduardo DeRosa or Eduardo Calabritto. I don't have much to go on since Edward died when my father was a child. Edward died in WWII while serving in the Merchant Marine. He married Mary Franke on 10/26/1941. This would make his birth date in the 1910's or 1920's. I believe he was born in Italy and may have had a previous marriage.
