Posted by Fernando on March 16, 2006 at 06:02:19: 1883 and 1884 ships from Napoli, Italy to New York and Central America Does anyone know if it is possible to find a list of ships that sailed from Napoli, Italy 1883 or 1884 to Central America via New York? I found strange that an usual trip departed from Genoa-to Napoli-sometimes to Palermo and then to New York… I believe that my grandfather Eugenio Ceci Veltri came to Guatemala via New York between 1883 and 1884 but I can not locate those records. I did fin some records at Ellis. One was a trip of him and my grandmother coming from their honeymoon in Napoli at Southampton, England on Apr. 18, 1909 on a ship named Duca di Genoa. The second was a trip that included my aunt-two years old—living Puerto Barrios and arriving at Ellis 21 Jul, 1913 in their trip to Napoli on a ship named Suriname.
