Posted by Monique Juteau on 08/07/03 at 1:00 AM Subject:   Looking for Di Menna, Marino and Tucci in Bucchianico Hi I am looking for my family ties in Bucchianico. Greatgrandmother, Sabia Marino, was born on April 8, 1885 in Bucchianico). Greatgrandfather,Giobbe Tucci, born in 1879 in Pescara (although Tucci is a popular surname in Bucchianico). They were married in Bucchianico around 1903-1904. Had a child in 1905 and in that same year moved to Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Sabia Marino had a brother (Antonio Marino, born January 30, 1883). She also had a sister whose name and date of birth is still unknown. Parents were Domenicangelo Marino (1855?)and Annadomenica Di Menna. Giobbe Tucci's birth certificate has been hard to find as well as any family connection. Because of his rare name, I was hoping someone might have some information. He always talked about Pescara and Sabia always talked about Chieti. Bucchianico was sought out as the last place of residence on the Ellis Island website. That narrowed my search to Bucchianico where I found Sabia's birth certificate as well as her brother's and their parents' names. I would love to find a street map of Bucchianico and some photos of this city. Very difficult to find information on this city on the Internet. Any information is appreciated.
