Posted by Joan Caruso-Alessi on 08/24/03 at 6:59 PM Subject:   researching Caruso and Petrarca My cousin and I have traced our family to Castel diSangro, L'Aquila. We have gotten to Fierangello Petrarca married to Maria Piscitani. Children were-Eduardo, Leonardo, Emilia, William, Giulia and Genevra. 4 of the children came to the United States in the early 1900's. Fierangelo remarried Lucia Vecchione and had 3 daughters Denia, Nina and Elena. The parents and Nina and Elena remained in Italy. The other side is Caruso--Salvatore and Filomena with Son Emidio--they came to the United States in the 1890's. ANY information on any of the family remaining in Italy would be greatly appreciated--we are at a dead end.
