He was married to a Maria Saveria Buccilli and had 3 female children that I've found thus far. There is always the possibility that he was the grandfather of your Carlo, but without information that goes back to 1865 I can't provide the information you need. I did find Adelina Tollis, age 19, on the Ellis Island page when she arrived on 2 Nov 1900 aboard the Kaiser Wilhelm II from Naples. She was going to Trinidad to meet her husband, Carlo Pompeo! That's a definite match for you. In exploring further, I couldn't find Carlo's arrival at Ellis Island, so he possibly arrived at another port. I did find a Raffaele Pompeo (44) who accompanied Antonio Avolio (19) from Pacentro to Ellis Island on 1 June 1906. Raffaele was listed as the brother of Pasquale Pompeo of Trinidad and Antonio was the nephew of Carlo Pompeo of Trinidad. Hope this helps you.
