Posted by Jeff Tarquin on August 17, 2004 at 09:24:24: My name is Jeff Tarquin from Geneva, New York. My Great grandfather Domenico Tarquini came over from Ortucchio on April 7, 1907. His wife,(Maria Ciocci), followed in November of 1907 with there daughter Giovanna who was 1 year old. Her family was also from Ortucchio. My mother is a Cardinale and also from Ortucchio. Her Grandfather, Giovanni, came over with his father Gennaro on March 21, 1911. I am looking for someone somewhere who may know people from Ortucchio or how I can learn more about my family there. They all are from Ortucchio. My email is jt3205@comcast.net. My grandfather, Vincent Tarquini, told me that his father, Domenico and the family were about to return to Ortucchio when they recieved word that his family had died in a major earthquake in 1915. This was the Tarquini Family. I would love to know more about them somehow. If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.
