Hi Ann,

Yes I know, Gentile is as common a surname as Smiths here in the UK, I have no other information. I only discovered that my Great Grandmother died in the UK this week. I can only hope that someone may be researching the same family and that the family trees connect. My English Grandmother who married Girolomo here in the UK said they came from outside Naples from what sounded like Pigeonisco we have tried Picinisco and they confirm during that period no gentiles were born there. I have no way of finding out Caramella's maiden name none of my elder family are alive, and whist they were they never spoke about there roots.

Thanks for coming back to me, if you have any other ideas they will be gratefully received.

Best wishes

George Woodworth
