Hi, James,

Possibly a connection for you:

My great-aunt Maria Assunta Di Julio from Castel San Vincenzo (fairly close, over the mountain in Isernia) married Ferdinando Antonio Jannotta (now Iannotta), also from Castel San Vincenzo. Ferdinando's mother was Serafina Leva, daughter of Generosa Leva and Lucia Pirro. I don't know much about the Leva's. Serafina married Antonio Jannotta of Castel San Vincenzo on 12 December, 1882. I don't have any more dates on them. Leva is not a name from the village of Castel San Vincenzo at this time. So, I suspect the Leva's come from somewhere else. Antonio and Serafina had two children, the son Ferdinando mentioned above and a daughter Lucia. Ferdinando's and my aunt Maria's descendants now live in the south of France. Lucia came to America. Her descendants live in the Vineland, New Jersey, area.

This may not be connected to you, but you never know.

Wendell
