HI,
I live near San Donato. To get there from Rome you can take a train to Frosinone or Cassino, then a bus to San Donato. It will take hours! Rome to Frosinone is one hour by train, Rome to Cassino is close to 2 hours. The bus company is CoTral but I couldn't get it to give me San Donato which probably means it is a local bus. It takes one hour from Frosinone to Sora where I live by bus and San Donato is as far again.
There are lots of places to stay in San Donato
