Posted by Donna Deiss on 09/29/03 at 10:22 AM Subject:   great grandfather, Giacomo Moresco, b. 4-9-1867 I am looking for relatives and ancestore of my great grandparents in Genoa, Italy. Giacomo Moresco was born 4-9-1867in Genoa. Rose Calori, great grandmother, was born 4 - 1865. Rose had a twin sister that may have died young. THey could not read and write so when they came to Colma, CA. they lost all contact with relatives in Italy. Giacoma came to America in 1888 and worked as a farmer, saving money for two years for his wife, Rose, and her first child, Mary to take a two week steerage trip in California in 1890. My grandmother Genevieve was the first born in America and was named after Genoa where the family was from. I'd love to learn more about their lives and find any family there. We had a Moresco Family Reunion I organized 0-15-2001 and quite a celebration of the Italian immigrant spirit.
