She returned to the area with her father who died while they were there. I believe that she then resided in an orphanage in the area until she later came to America as a young women. Her father I believe was a shoemaker. A few years ago we were in Gattorna and noticed that there was a shoe store with this family name. Would like to make a connection with the owners of this store if possible.
