Posted by Anthony L. Lorenz on 07/21/03 at 9:29 AM Subject: Montalbini-Perini my Grandmother was from Senigallia. She was a Montalbini. She married and Anthony Perini from Southern Italy. Their first child, Yolanda, my mother, was born in Italy. My Grandfather, Anthony Perini, emigrated to America [New York]and worked on the railroad, settling in Cincinnati, Ohio. He helped lay the mosiac wall in Union Terminal Station, which is now an historical site. To Cincinnati he brought his family and worked as a tailor. They had two more children, Mary and Delio. All of the above are now dead. I am Yolanda's third child, Anthony - named after my Grandfather. Recently, Julie Montalbini, a cousin who lives in Cincinnati, Ohio - his wife Christine died of cancer. My older brother - John - still corresponds at Christmas with some of the surviving Montalbini's who live in Senigallia. We are both getting older [John is 61 and I am 55] and hope someday to travel to Senigallia and find our relatives and enjoy some good, home cooked ravioli - my grandmother's favorite dish.
