Posted by Norman Sebastian Barchi on 08/12/03 at 1:32 PM Subject:   Re: Barchi Family Origin My branch of the Barchi family comes from Arosio, Canton Ticino, Switzerland (Italian speaking Canton).Arosio is a small village above the lake city of Lugano, Switzerland.However,originally,I believe the family came from a town in Northern Italy(south/southeast of Milano. Forgive the spelling,but the town is Multipuciano(sp?).My grandfather's name was Michael, his father,Sebastiano,and his father Giacamo.I believe the last two did some artistic work in some of the old churches in Multipuciano. I can go back to about 1200.
