Posted by Mike42257 on May 26, 2005 at 18:32:25: Hi Everyone....I am looking for any information on Silvio (Silvano) Agostinelli. He was born in 1890, in Mondolfo Pesaro, Italy. He was the son of Paolo e Emma Turatti, daughter of Alessendro. He arrived in the United States at Ellis Island on February 8, 1909, on a ship named the Barbarossa. He was 18 years old when he arrived. He passed away on March 10, 1947 in Framingham, Mass, and is buried in ST. Tarcisius Cemetary, also in Framingham. He married mary italia Borelli I am guessing between 1921 and 1924. He was 12 or 13 years older than her. Mary Italia Borelli was born September 3rd, 1903 somewhere in Italy. She passed away on february 26, 1994 in Framingham, mass. She arrived in the United States at Ellis Island , on May 14, 1912. She was age 8 upon arrival. She arrived on a shp named the Canada which had sailed fom Naples Campania, Italy. Her place of residence when she boarded the Canada was Ineupioia, Italy. The childrem of the marriage between Silvio Agostinelli and Mary Italia Borelli are: Julio (my father), Geno, Rudolph, Ernest, Raymond, and Rita. Mary Italia Borelli was the daughter of Venanzio Borelli e Rose Fazio (not sure on the Fazio name). Venanzio Borelli (Great grandfather) arrrived at Ellis island on April 9, 1906, on a ship named the Lazio, which sailed from Naples Campania, Italy. He was born somewhere in Italy of March 29, 1877. He passed away in August 1976 in Framingham, Mass. I beleive he may have been born in Firenza (but not sure). The chilren on Venanzio Borelli e Rose Fazio (not sure on fazio name) are: Mary Italia, Primo, Fred, Joseph, Charlie, Albert, Henry, Eleanor, and John (some of which were born in Italy)...I know at least Mary Italia, Primo, and fred were born in Italy. In Closing, I know that Silvio (Silvano) Agostinelli was born in Mondolfo, Pesaro, italy. I have a picture of the home he was born in, in 1890. I suspect that there are many Agostinelli's not only in the Province of Marche that are in some way or another related to my family here in the United States. From what I understand, Silvio's family came from Pesaro, near Fano. Anyone with any information on any on the above mentioned people, please feel free to contact me at Mike42257@aol.com.
