Posted by april chick on February 20, 2005 at 01:52:20: Hello: I am trying to find out if any of my distant relatives still reside in or near Macchia Valfortore. My great grandfather -Filippo Antonio DiCicco came to the U.S. (settled in Hartford City, Indiana) in 1913. He and his wife Maria (maiden name Cifelli) were both born in Macchia Valfortore and married there as well. I am planning a trip to Italy and would really appreciate any information -even advice about guides and places to stay in the area. Thank you.
