Posted by marie Gioiosa Sweeney on June 23, 2009 at 01:36:57: I am looking for members of my great grandfathers family. My father Anthony D. Gioiosa went to your town in 1956,1957 during his time in the army and then in 1985 and 1987 with my mother Yvette and went to a wedding of his cousins son. They sent money every year two the little girls and one was called picolino. My great grandfather was Domenico Gioiosa who came to America in 1911 with his son Raphael. In 1913 his wife and son Guiseppi my grandfather, daughters Theresa, Lucia and Philomina all came over. Many have been to visit you over the years. I have brought my sons to Italy in 2004 they are now 16 and 13 and we hope to come to visit the town of my family.
