Posted by P. Alberici on April 17, 2007 at 17:02:59: I am looking for any information on Solomone Alberici, and his wife Lucia, who immigrated to Montreal sometime in the 1890's. The family was from Tocco da Causaria and were in the stone industry in America. Solomone seems to have had money prior to his leaving Italy and came over with at least one brother. I'm also told that he made several trips back to the Pescara area from Montreal. They did not go through Ellis Island and came across the border (so the family story goes) in Vermont. They eventually settled in Barre, Vermont, USA. My father was Solomone's son. Any direction, help and family connections will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
