Posted by Maria Moline on November 19, 2007 at 03:57:22: I was born in Pescara in 1948. I lived in a Catholic orphanage until I was 8 years old and then was adopted and sent to the USA to live. I would like information about the orphanage. I would also like information about the Di Medoro family. My birth name is listed as Dantes Edmonda Di Medoro. I would like to connect with any family that may still be in the area. I read that a lot of the post WWII babies that lost their fathers during the war were placed in orphanages at that time. I do not know the circumstances of my birth and do not feel that is important. I am putting together a genealogy for my children and grandchildren. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
