Posted by J.D. on May 18, 2006 at 16:28:31: I believe my grandfather may have been born in Bitritto. His name was Giovanni(Giovani)Batista(Batiste) Defilippis. His date of birth would be about 1853. He married Francesco Bastianelli in Sant'Elia Fiumerapido in July 1878. They emigrated to Enland in the late 1800's. I believe, Michelangelo, one of their sons who was born in Scotland in 1894 returned to Italy before emigrating to USA. Be grateful for any information J.D.
